Job Title: Field Support Engineer (AV/Low Voltage)

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Field Support Engineer (AV/Low Voltage) to join our client to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low-voltage audio and video systems. This direct-hire role, based in the Fort Washington, PA area, plays a key part in building and maintaining high-quality AV infrastructure for both local and global projects. The technician will assist with assembling system racks, testing signal connectivity, and traveling to client sites for installation and configuration. This is a hands-on opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented professional who enjoys technical work, problem-solving, and working in a collaborative environment.

Compensation:
$45,000 $60,000 annually (based on experience) + travel pay and year-end performance bonus

Work Schedule:
Monday Friday, 8:30 AM 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain low-voltage AV systems using Coax, Ethernet, and Fiber Optic technologies.
Perform rack assembly, wiring, and equipment setup based on technical design specifications.
Conduct testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal signal performance and system reliability.
Document configurations and test results using software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio.
Travel up to 25 30% domestically and internationally to perform on-site installations and support project deployments.
Maintain organized, high-quality workmanship with attention to safety, security, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:
Hands-on experience with low-voltage wiring, including pulling cable, terminating connections, and mounting devices.
Familiarity with AV and networking concepts such as Ethernet connectivity, signal flow, and testing equipment (e.g., RF meters, LAN testers, voltmeters).
Ability to read and interpret design schematics and technical drawings.
Mechanical aptitude with proficiency in using hand and power tools.
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Valid driver s license and eligibility to obtain a passport within 10 weeks of hire; must be able to pass security clearances.
Willingness and ability to lift up to 75 lbs., climb ladders, and travel for up to 2 3 weeks at a time.
Visio experience and bilingual skills are a plus.
