Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Opto-Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical engineering workstreams for the integration of electromechanical sensors onto wearable hardware. The ideal candidate will ensure all mechanical aspects of development, performance, and reliability are met to guarantee program success. This role involves working across the full technology and product development cycle, partnering with cross-functional teams, and engaging with stakeholders to deliver high-quality prototypes and robust mechanical designs from concept to production.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead mechanical engineering workstreams for electromechanical sensor integration onto wearable hardware.
  • Ensure all mechanical aspects of development, performance, and reliability are met to ensure program success.
  • Work across the full technology and product development cycle to deliver robust mechanical designs from concept to production.
  • Partner with cross-functional researchers and engineers to develop wearable architectures for AR/VR interaction.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to produce high-quality prototypes that meet project specifications.

Qualifications:
  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in 3D CAD modeling using tools such as NX, Creo, or SolidWorks.
  • 5 years of advanced design or R&D experience with electromechanical sensors.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply first principles to solve complex technical problems.
  • Experience with manufacturing techniques such as machining, 3D printing, and injection molding.
  • Proven experience with PCB/PCBA and FPC/FPCA design and integration.
  • Experience with NX CAD is highly preferred.

Pay Range: $80 - $85

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
