Job Summary:
- Lead and execute strategic migrations from legacy automation tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Automic, Docker) to modern platforms (GitLab, Podman).
- Optimize CI/CD workflows and drive modernization of infrastructure and automation ecosystem.
- Design, implement, and optimize robust, scalable, and secure GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Plan and manage end-to-end migration of Jenkins and Automic pipelines/workflows to GitLab.
- Configure and administer GitLab (Runners, Groups, Projects, Permissions) at scale.
- Harden GitLab for enterprise use, including SSO, RBAC, backup/restore, and compliance.
- Integrate security scanning and static code analysis into CI/CD pipelines.
- Migrate Docker-based processes to Podman/Buildah, and ensure container security and compliance.
- Use infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible) for provisioning and managing GitLab infrastructure.
- Implement GitOps practices for managing environment configurations.
- Automate operational tasks and incident remediation using scripts and pipelines.
- Collaborate with application teams to onboard and evangelize GitLab CI/CD best practices.
- Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and pipeline templates.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions to promote GitLab CI/CD adoption.
- Integrate monitoring and performance tracking for CI/CD pipelines and GitLab infrastructure.
- Implement policies and guardrails for code quality, compliance, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve CI/CD and migration-related incidents promptly.
