Job Title: Power BI Developer (DAX Specialist) Remote



Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer with strong skills in DAX to join our team in a fully remote role. The developer will design, build, and optimize scalable Power BI reports and dashboards, develop advanced DAX measures, and collaborate with business teams to deliver data-driven insights. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and performance tuning in Power BI.



Responsibilities:





Develop interactive, visually appealing dashboards and reports using Power BI.

Create, optimize, and troubleshoot complex DAX expressions and measures.

Design efficient data models and implement data transformations using Power Query (M Language).

Collaborate remotely with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and understand reporting requirements.

Perform performance tuning and optimization for large Power BI datasets and reports.

Ensure data accuracy, quality, and security across reporting solutions.





Key Skills:





Expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for advanced calculations and business logic.

Strong experience with Power BI data modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake).

Proficiency in Power Query (M Language) and SQL.

Experience in performance optimization techniques in Power BI.

Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote team environment.

Strong understanding of business intelligence best practices and user-centered design.





Preferred Qualifications:





3+ years of experience in Power BI development and DAX.

Experience with Azure Data Services, SQL databases, or other cloud platforms (optional).

Familiarity with SSAS Tabular Models and other Microsoft BI tools (a plus).

Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills.
