Job Details

Primary Talent Partners has an open 12 month W2 contract with a large airline client of ours in the Atlanta, GA area.

Pay Range: $47.00 to $54.00 per hour (No PTO, benefits, etc but self funded ACA-compliant healthcare plan available to opt-in to)


The Business Analyst job family focuses on formulating and defining system scope using information technology and industry knowledge/requirements. This is based on both user needs and a solid understanding of information technology, business processes, and industry requirements. The job progression includes responsibilities ranging from assisting in formulating and defining systems scope and objectives to self-directed activities that result in long-term improvements in business processes for clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide business unit support by resolving issues not requiring extensive business/system knowledge.
  • Communicate incident status and clarify issues with business partners.
  • Escalate incidents to seniors where business process and extensive system knowledge is required.
  • Resolve application incidents and problems that require application code and/or operational modifications, such as lower complexity software problem resolution, training issues, documentation, and data problems requiring moderate business analysis.
  • Act as a liaison between the business and IT service providers to ensure functional specifications are understood and that they have what they need to develop their technical specifications.
  • Analyze issues to be solved within an enterprise and help provide solutions to meet desired business outcomes through IT.
  • Facilitate events and processes, assist teams in delivering value, communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, manage risk, and drive relentless improvement.
  • Participate in Lean-Agile transformation, coaching leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in new processes and mindsets.
  • Understand and document business and user requirements to ensure system designs meet business needs.
  • Ensure knowledge transfer to the support organization occurs prior to system go-live.
  • Schedule and communicate the system go-live date.
  • Develop and update documentation and training materials.
  • Ensure IT and SOX compliance is covered.
  • Document functional requirements that describe the system, process, or product to fulfill business requirements.
  • Responsible for the functional design of application systems across all technologies and platforms.
  • Translate user requirements to process and data requirements.
  • Convert specifications about business problems into a sequence of detailed programming instructions to solve business problems through automation support.
  • Construct program flow charts to describe the processing of data and development of precise steps and processing logic across all platforms.
  • Provide a broad understanding of platforms and applications across all technologies.
  • Function as an IT advisor to the business units.
  • Oversee and guide a team of Business Analysts I and II.

Qualifications

8 years of relevant experience.
