IT Risk Assessment & Standards Coordinator needed for a 1+ Year Contract onsite in Tempe, AZ!
The Emerging Technologies team, a sub-team within the Architecture & Governance Services (AGS) team, is responsible for gathering practices from across the organization, developing emerging technology and cloud best practices, governance, and frameworks for use within client. The team provides education, policies, tools, and best practices to enable client to choose and utilize technology solutions. As part of risk management for client, the Emerging Technologies team manages the Hosted Information Technology Assessment (HIT) process. Related to best practices, the team also facilitates the creation and maintenance of Technology Policies and Standards for client.
The Risk Assessment & Standards Coordinator position includes facilitating the HIT Reassessment process and analyzing existing client hosted applications with High and Medium risk profiles. The HIT Reassessment process is a client enterprise process that utilizes individuals from CSS, ITS, Purchasing, and Legal to assess cyber security, data, and enterprise architecture risks for vendors and their applications installed outside of client's data centers.
The Risk Assessment & Standards Coordinator position also includes coordinating the creation and updates of enterprise Technology Policies and Standards. Coordination involves gathering and developing content with input from architects within the AGS team and across client via the Extended Architect Alliance.
Job Responsibilities
- Be the primary facilitator of the HIT Reassessment process.
- Schedule meetings with the business, vendors, and the assessment team to carry out the reassessment process.
- Proactively manage vendor and business contacts to promote timely information collection as input into the reassessment process.
- Gathering information from business resources and vendor contacts, organizing the data within the tool that is used to store assessment and reassessment results (ServiceNow).
- Provide regular updates to management and the Architecture & Governance Services team on the status and issues related to the HIT Reassessment process.
- Manage post-reassessment activities, including updates to ServiceNow and distribution of final assessment results.
- Escalate and schedule meetings with the HIT Steering Committee to review risk assessments that fall within an established risk category.
- Serve as a back-up to the initial HIT Assessment process.
- Be the primary coordinator for the creation and updates of Technology Policies and Standards.
- Administer the document repository for Technology Policies and Standards (Converge Point).
- Identify the appropriate resources and schedule meetings with the Extended Architect Alliance to form working groups to create content, review, and approve new content and updates to policies and standards.
