Description

Johnson & Johnson Technology Services is recruiting for a Senior Manager, Network Security Engineering reporting to the Director of Global Network Security. This position is based out of Raritan, NJ. The anticipated base pay range for this position is $118,000- $203,550.

The Senior Manager, Network Security Engineering role will be responsible for security services definition, product roadmaps and the lifecycle / governance of one or more security technology products. Responsibilities include security engineering management of solutions leveraging Network Access Control, cloud-based Network Security, Zero-Trust Network Access, Next-Generation Firewalls, network security analytics, Intrusion Prevention technologies, DNS security and requires a combination of strong employee managerial skills and broad technical knowledge of Cybersecurity.

Senior Manager, Network Security engineering will collaborate with the Network Services team and the architecture & strategy group on investigating emerging technologies, participating in performing POCs/POV, implementing security controls and sound operational processes for security related products and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leads enterprise-wide security projects including the design, engineering and deployment of security technology platforms/services.
  • Establish cross-product security technology integration working across different teams when required.
  • Responsible for the lifecycle, roadmap, value metrics, and use case patterns for services and products.
  • Operationalize strategy for function and department.
  • Manage directly or indirectly a team of managers, specialist employees and contractors.
  • Participate on projects to review emerging security technologies, new network security engineering techniques, and assess opportunities to implement.
  • Serve as a key stakeholder on priority initiatives, deployments, projects using standard toolsets and services.
  • Lead/participate in cross-service design and technology product reviews with peers.
  • Define best practices for security products, standards, and quality metrics.
  • Interact with cross functional teams, including Security Architecture, other technology services groups to ensure complete delivery of solutions.
  • Responsible for talent development, recruiting, and planning for technical skills within the service.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 8-10 years of experience in Network Security or related IT Cybersecurity experience preferably in large enterprises.
  • Requires a strong understanding of Cybersecurity architecture, engineering security controls of Cloud-based Network Security services, network access control, next generation Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention, Internet Protocols, Netflow traffic analysis, encryption/decryption preferably within a global, regulated industry.
  • Industry certifications such as ITILv3, CISSP, CISM,CEH or equivalent security experience preferred.
  • Deal with and solve moderately complex issues.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with peer security engineering teams, and an understanding of automation / development methodologies.
  • A combination of business process, technology expertise, product management knowledge is required.
  • Strong understanding of service engineering, architecture, delivery, and the full lifecycle of service management.
  • Strong understanding of the development of security engineering teams/talent.
  • Understanding of frameworks, SLDC processes, component design, APIs, and construction of highly reusable solution sets.
  • Must be analytical, and able to present recommendations to management.
  • Experience with vendor management relationships and product technology roadmaps.
  • Must have good planning, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience leading global projects and geographically diverse teams.
  • With little supervision, must be able to define, shape, and drive projects to completion while effectively collaborating strategically with others.
  • Must be able to lead and have influence skills.
  • General industry/J&J knowledge.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Must be results driven, a quick learner, and a self-starter.

  • This role requires the individual to spend up to 10% of the time in international/domestic travels.
