The Work
In this Infrastructure Network Engineer role, you will:
Support network management and monitoring for Aegis programs, including troubleshooting and integration to ensure the network operates securely, efficiently, and reliably.
Contribute to network build development and delivery on a quarterly cadence.
Support network design and implementation, including installation and configuration of devices.
Apply automation tools and technologies to streamline system deployment.
Support customer and corporate events and exercises to test future capabilities for the warfighter.

Who We Are
You have a Bachelors degree in a Computer/System Engineering or related field and at least 5 years of professional experience. You are interested in a career where you will solve problems and develop solutions on a daily basis. You enjoy a good challenge and excel in an environment where you can collaborate with other motivated engineers. Must be willing to work onsite, traveling between multiple sites within the campus (5 mile radius) as well as be willing to travel domestically or internationally as needed.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, System Engineering, Computer Systems Technology, or related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with Network devices and their configuration
Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMWare or KVM and scripting languages, such as Python, Ansible, and bash
Experience with network analysis tools (such as Wireshark)
DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level

Desired skills

Masters degree or advanced technical certification(s)
Familiarity with multiple vendor hardware sets
Knowledge of various routing protocols (TCP/IP, RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Multicast (PIM)) and switching protocols (VLAN, STP, LACP, HSRP, VRRP, VPC)
Administration/deployment experience with a Linux Operating System (preferably Red Hat)
Experience working in a systems/software engineering environment, using agile tools, automation, and applying best practices
Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to articulate advanced technical topics to both technical and non-technical staff

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.
