Description
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Sr. Consultant to lead large-scale IT transformation initiatives and deliver impactful business outcomes. This Contract-to-Permanent position is based in Rochester, New York, and requires a strong ability to manage complex projects, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive organizational change. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Agile methodologies and have a proven track record of delivering projects successfully within scope, budget, and timeline.
Must be willing to be onsite 4 times per week in Rochester. This role will drive infrastructure, application development, and other ad hoc projects.
Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT transformation programs, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Develop strategic plans for business initiatives driven by IT, aligning them with organizational goals and objectives.
Foster strong customer relationships and ensure solutions are focused on meeting client needs.
Utilize Agile methodologies to manage projects effectively, promoting flexibility and collaboration.
Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure alignment with business priorities.
Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines and objectives.
Promote the adoption of new technologies and processes, ensuring smooth transitions and user acceptance.
Manage vendor relationships, overseeing procurement and monitoring performance to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Allocate resources efficiently, balancing internal staff and external consultants to achieve project goals.
Establish and track KPIs to measure project success, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with expertise in leading transformation initiatives.
Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, with practical experience in Scrum frameworks.
Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Workfront.
Familiarity with Atlassian Jira for tracking and managing project workflows.
Excellent communication skills, capable of delivering clear, audience-appropriate messages across all organizational levels.
Ability to identify and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency.
Proficient in using modern office productivity tools, particularly Microsoft tools.
