Citrix Engineer

We are seeking a Citrix network engineer who combines expertise in Citrix products and network administration. They focus on the network aspects of Citrix deployments, ensuring smooth communication and optimal performance. Here's how their responsibilities differ from a general Citrix engineer:
Network Focus:
Configure and manage network components that support Citrix environments, including firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
Troubleshoot network-related Citrix issues, such as slow application delivery or user connectivity problems.
Design and implement network security measures for Citrix deployments.
Collaborate with network engineers to ensure compatibility between Citrix and the overall network infrastructure.
Additional Responsibilities:
This person might have some overlap with general Citrix engineers' duties but with a network bent. This could involve installing and configuring Citrix servers, but with a focus on network settings and optimization.
They may also be responsible for monitoring network performance metrics to identify potential bottlenecks that impact Citrix applications.
Required Skills:
In addition to the skills mentioned for a Citrix engineer, a Citrix network engineer needs a strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.).
Experience with network troubleshooting tools and methodologies is essential.
Certifications like CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or network security certifications can be advantageous.
This Citrix network engineer acts as a bridge between the Citrix environment and the underlying network infrastructure, ensuring their seamless integration and optimal performance. There is a team in the Netherlands that supports the actual infrastructure but is looking for an SME that can support issues in CT who will also be a mentor and train level 1 and potentially Level 2 engineers to be self-sufficient at the end of the 6-month contract. This person must have Deep Citrix skills.
