Description
We are seeking an experienced Lab IT Support Specialist to assist with a Windows 10-11 remediation project. This role is focused on upgrading and remediating lab-based computers within a regulated GxP environment. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience supporting lab IT systems, following detailed work instructions, and collaborating closely with scientists and engineering staff to minimize downtime in laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities
Execute Windows 10-11 remediation activities on laboratory computers and related equipment.
Perform system imaging, software deployments, and application updates using standard enterprise tools (e.g., SCCM, Software Center, imaging utilities).
Follow detailed work instructions and documentation to ensure compliance within a GxP-controlled environment.
Provide troubleshooting support for lab computers, peripherals, and lab-specific applications.
Assist with connectivity and light networking tasks, including device integration within lab networks.
Collaborate with lab personnel and IT teams to ensure minimal disruption to laboratory operations.
Accurately document remediation activities, issues, and resolutions in accordance with quality and compliance standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong technical knowledge of Windows 10/11 OS and PC hardware/software support.
Experience with lab computer support in a GxP-regulated environment
Hands-on experience with imaging tools and software deployment utilities (e.g., SCCM, MDT, PXE boot).
Familiarity with Software Center and enterprise patching/deployment processes.
Ability to follow detailed work instructions with precision and accuracy.
Troubleshooting experience with lab equipment integrations and lab-specific software.
Basic knowledge of networking concepts (IP addressing, connectivity, device setup).
Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to documentation and compliance.
Detail-oriented with a compliance-first mindset.
Ability to work independently while coordinating within cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
