DataStaff, Inc. is in need of an IT Project Manager for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Richmond, VA.
*This role is hybrid, 4 days per week are onsite
Our client is seeking an IT project manager to manage the planning, implementation, and close out of various cybersecurity projects aimed at improving local government cybersecurity practices.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the planning, implementation, and close out of various cybersecurity projects aimed at improving local government cybersecurity practices.
- Managing medium complexity cybersecurity projects throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring on time and on budget delivery
- Manage day-to-day project activities, including task assignments, progress tracking, budget tracking and issue resolution
- Monitor project progress, anticipate and identify potential risks or delays; assist in implementing mitigation strategies as needed
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across state and local government and third-party suppliers to ensure project alignment and successful delivery
- Developing, organizing and maintaining project documentation, including documentation required for federal grant compliance
- Other SLCGP (State and Locality Cybersecurity Grant Program) related tasks as assigned
Required Skills:
- 5 Years - Strong organization skills including attention to detail, multitasking
- 5 Years - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
- Active PMP certification required from PMI
Desired Skills:
- 10 Years - Experience leading cybersecurity projects
- Experience with state and/or federal government IT procurement requirements and procurement laws and processes as it relates to managing projects
- 3 Years - Experience with managing grant funded projects (federal, state or not-for-profit)
- 5 Years - Proven working experience in project management
- 5 Years - Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with utilizing PlanView AgilePlace
