Job Title: Sr. Financial Analyst

Job Type: W2 Contract (9 Months)
Location: St. Paul, MN (Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite)
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:45 PM CST
Pay Rate: $37 - $40 / Hour

Position Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst will support the Fund Accounting and Performance Reporting unit by preparing and reviewing accounting, financial, performance, and regulatory reports related to investment portfolios within the company s variable life insurance and annuity product separate accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support financial reporting cycles for:

    • Individual and group life insurance separate accounts

    • Annuity variable product separate accounts

  • Collaborate with external third parties to calculate daily unit values and net asset values (NAVs)

  • Ensure timely and accurate investment portfolio performance calculations and reporting

  • Prepare and review financial reporting deliverables, including:

    • Statutory annual statement ( Green Book ) filings

    • Audited financial statements

  • Perform independent analysis and interpretation of financial results for internal and external stakeholders

  • Review and approve journal entries, including:

    • Internal control testing and certification

    • Oversight of third-party service providers

Qualifications

  • 3-10 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting

  • Background in financial services and/or SEC mutual fund or investment company reporting preferred

  • Strong ability to work collaboratively and independently

  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines in fast-paced environments
