Complete Remote - Actively interviewing for Microsoft Purview Architect / Engineer - 6 plus months contract 


Role & Responsibilities

The MS Purview Architect/Engineer will lead the design and implementation of Microsoft Purview for unstructured data sensitivity management, focusing on PII and customer data classification across SharePoint, OneDrive, and file shares. This role builds and tests classification rulesets, deploys sensitivity labels at scale, and implements access controls and DLP policies to protect sensitive unstructured data. The architect configures automated scanning and alerting, validates security controls, and collaborates with the Power BI Specialist to deliver classification visibility dashboards. 

Must Have Skills

5+ years in data governance and cloud-based environments.
3+ years deploying and architecting Microsoft Purview in enterprise settings.
Expertise in sensitivity labels, DLP policies, and information protection.
Strong Azure infrastructure, networking, and security knowledge.
Experience scanning unstructured data across SharePoint, OneDrive, and file shares.
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

Nice to Have Skills

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Security certifications.
Experience with DAMA-DMBOK or EDM Council DCAM frameworks.
Prior experience with Atlan or similar data catalog tools.
Experience integrating Purview with ServiceNow for governance workflows.
