Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a C# .NET Software Engineer for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Banking clients in Omaha, Nebraska. Hybrid schedule 3-4 days per week onsite

About the Role
We're hiring a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software that meets business and customer needs. You'll build features and capabilities for external customers and internal users, and configure or customize vendor-packaged software where needed. This role works within a team with guidance from senior engineers and opportunity to grow technical ownership.

Responsibilities :
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain application features and integrations.
  • Configure and customize vendor-provided packaged software to meet user requirements.
  • Build and maintain APIs for internal and external use.
  • Collaborate with product, QA, and operations to deliver production-ready software.
  • Follow Agile development practices and use planning tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and troubleshooting.
  • Contribute to DevOps/CI-CD practices and automation efforts.
  • Analyze business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Required Skills :
  • 5-8 Proficiency C#, .NET
  • Working knowledge of SQL and basic database concepts (SQL/NoSQL).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD/DevOps principles.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to document defects and technical work clearly.
  • Communicate complex technical information clearly to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Growth mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies and frameworks.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong logic, analytical thinking, and documentation skills.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Prior experience with an insurance company
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
