IT Implementation Engineer
100% remote, prefer EST and CST candidates, Work 8-5 EST Mon-Fri
12 month project, plus extensions
2 positions, must pass drug/bckd checks
In this role, you'll be at the forefront of technology, coordinating data services need for a large number of projects.
You'll be involved in a Network Refresh project requiring site remediation of various levels for a large number of locations.
Your responsibilities will encompass: Coordinating and facilitating work to remediate networking infrastructure for locations.
Collaborating with third-party vendors to ensure smooth installation of services and infrastructure remediations.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and coordination skills, an understanding of networking hardware and buildouts as well as working effectively with third-party partners, and a proactive approach to meeting branch needs.
Candidate will also have experience in working a large number of projects simultaneously.

IT Knowledge: 2 years of experience preferred Networking and hardware requirements
Project Coordination: 2 3 years of experience preferred Experience facilitating and coordinating large-scale projects
Organizational Skills: 0 3 years of experience Proficiency in Microsoft tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) Familiarity with automation tools like ServiceNow
Areas of Impact: Sets day-to-day objectives and deliver job responsibilities that may vary outside typical norms or practices. Work independently and may be required to apply discretion within established operational boundaries and procedures.
Problem Solving: Problems and issues faced often need analysis to understand. Checks and make minor adjustments to work methods to solve problems that may not be immediately evident in existing work processes and systems. However, may have references or help from norms and/or standard procedures to solve these problems (e.g., operating manuals, ability to discuss in teams, or escalate issues to manager).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engineer and implement the following technologies: Wireless, Data routing/switching, call routing technologies, infrastructure, and cabling services.
- Manage 50 - 100 projects( branches) of various sizes and types.
- Handle budgets up to 1 million dollars.
- Assess and determine requirements needed from surveys for remediation work.
- Consult with branch resources to define needs and requirements in accordance with established standards.
-- Ability to determine hardware requirements such as a switch, router, UPS, and access points needed for a job.
- Work with vendors to establish requirements needed based upon scope of work and bill of materials.
- Order and coordinate the installation of required hardware needed in the building by the 3rd party vendors.
- Coordinate with networking engineers to define hardware and wireless requirements.
- Provide information needed to 3rd party wireless designers to design wireless layout when applicable.
- Approve all quotes, request PO?s, approve invoices for approved scope of work based upon current standards.
- Ensure the completion of standardized tasks and processes to coordinate, implement, install, and test all technical aspects of the enterprise data network and infrastructure, based on defined standards.
- Test and identify any short falls within work completed and work follow-up issues to completion.
- Ensure infrastructure cabling, wiring closet (MDF/IDF), and hardware installations are accurate and meet standards and are certified to local and national specifications.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation and tracking of work-order activities in defined enterprise tools. To include completion of all tasks (ServiceNow, SharePoint, Project).
- Coordinate with internal engineering, project management, support, and security groups, as well as manage third party contractor activities to ensure location connectivity.
- Participate in associate meetings and communicate any concerns to management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years of experience is preferred to perform at expectation. Applies broad job knowledge of own job area or basic job knowledge across multiple job areas.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to groups.
- Efficiently operate computers, tablets and mobile devices.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Visio, Sharepoint etc.).
- Knowledge of project/task management systems preferred. (ServiceNow, SharePoint)
- Knowledge of National Standards for TIA/EIA , BICSI , and OSHA regulations and requirements.
- Ability to interpret site surveys to identify project requirements preferred.
- Experience with coordination of data, and wireless technologies preferred.
- Familiar with basic networking hardware needed for a network.
- Familiar with the backbone of a network to include CAT-6 and Fiber Optics.
- Poise and maturity to interact at all levels of the organization as well as third-party contractors.
