Java Technical Specialist

DataStaff, Inc. is currently seeking a Java Technical Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Raleigh, NC.
*The selected candidate is eligible to work remotely; however, the candidate must reside in North Carolina.
Responsibilities:

• Be part of the application maintenance team serving as the technical specialist and consultant by independently managing complex Java projects and providing critical second level 24x7 on-call support.
• Work with Business Owners in the translation of customer requests into technical request and user stories
• Coordinates software release schedules with the Business and Technical Team
• Develops business requirements
• Provides testing and training support
• Must have proven experience with enterprise level software development programs.

Required Skills

• 3 Years - Java/JEE, Oracle, and XML for a minimum of 3 years.
• 3 Years - Web Services, JSP, Servlets, Spring, Struts, Eclipse IDE, and version control tools
• 3 Years - Application analysis and design, cost analysis, estimating staffing needs, testing, documentation, and implementation
• 3 Years - Technical helpdesk support
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Math, or Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
• Effective communications in oral and written form

Desired Skills:

• Java Certification
• 1 Year - Visual C++, .NET, CORBA, EJB, and Hibernate.
