If they are non local, they would need to relocate to Phoenix at their own expense. They would also need to complete a fingerprint background check in Phoenix prior to their start date.

Experience Required

Experience: Avaya System Programming, System Manager/Session Manager certification. Any Cisco training/certification is preferred.

Skills Required

At least (5) five years of work experience in a telecommunications analyst,

voice communication analyst or similar position.

Requires the ability to plan, organize, monitor, control and implement telecommunications

and video projects

Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies

Must be able to work well with and/or lead people from many different disciplines and with varying degrees of technical expertise

Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing, is required

Position Description

Essential job tasks:

Act as a liaison between Sheriff s Office and network vendors

(e.g. Windstream and Avaya) on high-level support issues

Perform management studies and other special projects

Provide direct interface with other departments in support of the Sheriff s Office network

Prepare correspondence and reports

Diagnose problems and repairs equipment ensuring conformance to specified codes and standards

Solve complex problems using technical knowledge and professional judgment to restore critical systems

Respond to job assignment such as work orders, engineering changes and trouble calls as required which may necessitate call-in to work after normal shift hours

Analyze component requirements of new and upgraded systems and perform installation and testing of new products

Ensure adherence to and completes/updates documentation of routine maintenance schedules and inventory

Compile and update statistical information, manuals and reports

Represent the division at meetings, both internal and external
