We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army's Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft. This position is onsite in Fort Worth, Texas.

Enterprise Digital Systems

The Enterprise Digital Systems department at Bell maintains cross-functional alignment and long-term strategy for tools in engineering design, manufacturing, and product lifecycle management. Within that department, the Modeling and Simulation team focuses on Multiphysics analysis and simulation tools across the enterprise, including commercial off-the-shelf applications and proprietary software development. The team advocates for the business need of engineering analytical tools, aligns tool development with program needs short and long-term, and orchestrates evaluation of new methods and tools.

What you'll be doing as an Engineering Operations Analyst

  • Perform data analysis on historical software usage records, combining data sets and developing business insights by discipline- and program-based segments at varying increments of time fidelity
  • Work cross-functionally with IT to define data collection requirements and project prioritization
  • Communicate data reporting products to the engineering core team and program technical leads
  • Collaborate with technical leads to make data-driven decisions on developing future tools strategies while aligning with program development and support timelines
  • Support budget management with business intelligence to advise current year purchasing decisions and developing forecast models for future operating plans

Skills You Bring To this Role

  • Working knowledge of data warehousing, including basic database management concepts preferred
  • Experience with database information extraction with SQL or a similar database interface language preferred
  • Knowledge of typical software licensing models and the implications on user access
  • Past responsibility for budget management and forecasting, including capital acquisitions and labor headcount evaluations preferred

What you need to be successful

  • 5+ years experience in data analytics and/or engineering operations management
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering management, information systems, or business administration
  • Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered; a dvanced degrees will be considered as additional experience
  • Experience in business intelligence reporting with Power BI, Tableau or similar analytics packages
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
