Job Description: Visualization & Analytics Engineer (Tableau, AWS Athena, QuickSight)
We are seeking a highly skilled Visualization & Analytics Engineer with deep expertise in Tableau, AWS analytics services, and modern data architectures. The ideal candidate has experience integrating Tableau with AWS (including Athena and S3-based data lakes), building scalable dashboards, and understanding how front-end visualization layers connect to backend data sources. Experience with AWS QuickSight and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards to support business intelligence and analytics requirements.
• Integrate Tableau with AWS services, including:
• Athena queries and metadata management
• S3 data lakes and Lake Formation–based access control
• AWS Glue Data Catalog
• Build and optimize Tableau data extracts, published data sources, and performance-tuned dashboards.
• Develop and maintain AWS QuickSight dashboards, datasets, analyses, and user permissions.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure clean data pipelines and proper data modeling for reporting use cases.
• Understand and document how UI visualization layers (Tableau, QuickSight) connect to and query backend databases, warehouse structures, S3 buckets, and data lake zones.
• Work with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD processes for dashboard versioning, infrastructure-as-code, metadata management, and automated deployments.
• Troubleshoot dashboard performance issues and optimize queries in Athena and other AWS data services.
• Ensure governance, security, and role-based access control across visualization and data platforms.
• Partner with business users to translate requirements into actionable analytics products.

Required Qualifications
• 3–7 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data visualization roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Online (dashboard design, data modeling, extracts, performance optimization).
• Proven experience integrating Tableau with AWS Athena and S3.
• Practical knowledge of AWS analytics stack, including:
• Athena
• S3
• Glue (ETL & Data Catalog)
• Lake Formation
• IAM permissions and policies
• Experience building dashboards and datasets in AWS QuickSight.
• Strong understanding of data lakes, data warehouses, and backend architectures.
• Proficient in SQL for building and optimizing data queries.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins) and version control best practices.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate business needs into technical solutions.
