Location: Santa Clara, CA OR San Jose, CA 95134
Duration: 6+ Months Contract or Contract to Hire

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years direct relevant experience
  • Strong Architecture experience in Enterprise environment
  • Expertise in Cloud Platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform or Azure
  • Strong Expertise in ERP systems like SAP
  • Expertise in Tools like Python, BI Platforms & RESTful APIs
  • Strong understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases & Terraform
  • Experience with BI Tools

Job Purpose:

Provide strategic architectural oversight across Client's technology landscape, ensuring all systems from ERP to cloud infrastructure align with long-term enterprise goals and support rapid scaling in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Define Enterprise Architecture Frameworks and Practices:
    1. Develop and enforce enterprise architecture principles, standards, and best practices to enable consistency and scalability across the organization.
    2. Ensure cohesive use of platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, Palantir Foundry, AWS, and BI tools.
    3. Align solution architecture across domains including ERP, PLM, cloud infrastructure, and data platforms.
  2. Cross-Domain Alignment:
    1. Partner with solution architects, domain leaders, and IT teams to ensure alignment and interoperability across all technology domains.
    2. Drive collaboration between business and IT stakeholders to design solutions that support both current and future-state business goals.
  3. Long-Term Technology Advisory:
    1. Advise executive leadership on technology investments, roadmap planning, and enterprise-wide integration strategies.
    2. Assess emerging technologies and evaluate their potential to add value and competitive advantage to the organization.
  4. Roadmap Development:
    1. Translate enterprise strategy into actionable technology roadmaps and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
    2. Provide oversight for the transition from current-state architecture to target-state architecture, ensuring minimal disruption.

Key Skills

  1. Enterprise Architecture Frameworks:
    1. Ability to define standards, best practices, and guardrails for enterprise-wide technology decisions.
    2. Extensive experience as an enterprise architect in complex, high-growth environments ideally within aerospace, manufacturing, or regulated industries

    1. Deep understanding of modern IT domains, including:
    2. Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
    3. Data management and integration.
    4. AI/ML and emerging technologies.

    1. Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business vision into actionable architecture roadmaps.

    2. Building consensus among stakeholders with competing priorities while ensuring adherence to enterprise standards.
  5. Risk Management and Compliance:
    1. Expertise in identifying and mitigating security, legal, and governance risks during architecture planning.
    2. Experience ensuring compliance with data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and security standards (e.g., NIST, ISO).
  6. Change Leadership and Communication:
    1. Strong communication skills to articulate the vision and value of architecture initiatives to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Technologies

  1. Enterprise Architecture Tools:
    1. Familiarity with tools like Sparx, Visio, ArchiMate, or BiZZdesign Enterprise Studio for modeling architecture.
  2. Cloud Platforms:
    1. Deep Expertise with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, specifically in planning cloud migration strategies.
  3. Integration Tools and APIs:
    1. Knowledge of middleware and integration tools like MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or Apache Kafka for connecting disparate systems.
  4. Data Technologies:
    1. A solid understanding of data architecture, including knowledge of ETL pipelines, data lakes, data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery), and database management systems.
