Location/Remote: Hybrid Remote in Atlanta, GA 30328 (i.e., 2 days onsite/week)

Employment Type: Direct Hire / Permanent / Full-time

Compensation: up to $115k/year (depending on experience)

We're seeking a highly skilled Linux Automation Engineer to join our growing team. You'll be responsible for maintaining and developing automation solutions using Ansible, shell scripting, and Python. This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of projects, driving automation initiatives forward.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment.
  • Leverage Linux shell scripting and Python scripting to automate complex tasks.
  • Build custom software packages from open-source code, including testing and documentation.
  • Script interactions with NetApp storage using the NetApp CLI.
  • Assist in designing and documenting Disaster Recovery (DR) re-engineering processes.
  • Collaborate with the team to continuously improve automation practices.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a systems engineer, with 3+ specific to Linux
  • Strong experience with Linux scripting
  • Proven experience reading, writing, and executing Ansible playbooks.
  • Familiarity with YAML syntax.
  • Experience building custom software packages from open-source code.
  • Comfort with scripting languages like Bash and Python.
  • Proficiency with NetApp CLI scripting.

Bonus Points:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but strong experience can substitute.
  • Experience with configuration management tools beyond Ansible.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts.
  • Experience working in a heavily audited environment (banking industry preferred).
