Job Title: Network Automation Developer (Itential Platform)
Location: Dallas, TX - Onsite
Duration: 6 Months
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Network Automation Developer with strong hands-on expertise in the Itential Automation Platform to support automation initiatives for network infrastructure. This role involves developing, integrating, and maintaining automation workflows, leveraging scripting, configuration management tools, and APIs to streamline network operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Python, networking fundamentals, and cloud technologies, with a passion for delivering efficient, scalable automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain network automation workflows using the Itential Automation Platform.
- Create and optimize automation scripts using Python and Bash/Shell scripting.
- Implement configuration management and automation processes using Ansible.
- Collaborate with network engineers to automate operations for devices such as Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto.
- Utilize JSON and Jinja2 templates for data formatting, automation, and dynamic configurations.
- Integrate with and manage network devices via REST APIs and CLI-based interactions.
- Support hybrid and cloud network environments (AWS, Azure) and ensure compatibility with automation tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven hands-on experience with Itential Automation Platform.
- Proficiency in Python and scripting languages such as Bash/Shell.
- Strong knowledge of Ansible for automation and configuration management.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, protocols, and architectures.
- Experience working with major networking vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Proficiency in JSON and Jinja2 templating.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and CLI automation techniques.
