Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct a thorough review of the current IT Master Plan performed in 2012.

Perform a comprehensive assessment of existing technologies and staffing to identify strengths and weaknesses.

Evaluate the IT department's organizational structure, staffing levels, and reliance on contractors.

Assess IT application development and security management practices.

Review IT change management procedures and recommend improvements.

Identify relevant public sector industry standards related to IT management, including cybersecurity, infrastructure replacement, email services, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

Identify and assess any deficiencies or gaps in infrastructure, equipment, software, security, networks, email services, or business continuity.

Evaluate emerging technology trends and propose strategies to accommodate them.

Meet with representatives from operational areas to understand and assess IT needs.

Evaluate IT document governance policies and propose enhancements.

Deliverables:

Document and assess the current state of the IT environment and operations.

Prepare an analysis of IT and Telecommunication needs and develop an action plan for future improvements and upgrades.

Develop a strategic five-year roadmap with cost estimates associated with implementation.

Provide recommendations on IT department organizational structure, including future staffing levels, organization structure, and staff skill requirements.

Develop IT document governance plan/policy.

Develop IT change management plan/policy.
