Job Details

The Consultant position entails overseeing internal risk and regulatory documentation pertaining to risk policies, procedures, and methodologies. The primary duties of the Consultant include spearheading the creation and implementation of new risk management policies and procedures, alongside maintaining and revising existing documents. Close collaboration with various Clearing House Risk teams and the companies' clearing policy and compliance teams is essential to ensure compliance with rules and relevant regulations. Additionally, the Consultant is tasked with crafting PowerPoint presentations and memos detailing policy and procedure updates and revisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and upkeep of risk management policies, procedures, and methodologies aligned with the clearing's established risk framework and regulatory mandates
  • Create PowerPoint presentations on risk initiatives, projects, monitoring, policies, procedures, methodologies, etc. Accompany these presentations with memos as necessary
  • Conduct thorough, well-organized analyses of relevant risk, regulatory, and compliance issues
  • Deliver analyses and other projects to the senior management team during weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements through interactions with regulators and support in regulatory and third-party inquiries
  • Collaborate with other teams across the clearing, product development, sales, treasury, and legal on analyses and clearing projects, as well as broader risk initiatives
  • Communicate key industry and market news and developments and their potential impact on the company
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of companies' risk documents and frameworks and their interrelations with various other Clearing House departments

Skills:

Work Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience at an FCM, Bank, Exchange, or related entity in a risk function or similar capacity.

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Economics, or other related field.
