POSITION SUMMARY: The Enterprise Delivery Execution Director leads the tactical execution of FPI s portfolio of customer and internal initiatives. This role ensures execution excellence by managing delivery health, proactively resolving blockers, and aligning cross-functional teams to project and program objectives.
This is a highly customer-facing leadership role that serves as a delivery liaison between project and executive teams. The role is instrumental in ensuring effective communication, risk mitigation, and alignment to ensure consistent execution and delivery success.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execution Leadership
- Lead execution of cross-functional enterprise initiatives, ensuring alignment to scope, schedule, budget, resources, and quality targets.
- Own delivery health and execution accountability across the program lifecycle.
- Drive resolution of project delivery risks, blockers, and escalations with urgency and clarity.
- Monitor delivery progress using dashboards and health metrics to inform tactical and strategic decisions.
Stakeholder & Customer Engagement
- Serve as a key customer-facing leader, maintaining strong, proactive relationships with customer and internal leaders.
- Act as the primary escalation point between technical teams, business sponsors, and customer leadership to ensure alignment.
- Ensure timely, transparent communication around risks, delivery milestones, and execution impacts.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with EPMO, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams to manage technical dependencies and delivery readiness.
- Partner closely with the Director of Enterprise Portfolio Management and Delivery to align execution with governance, intake, and resource planning.
- Work with business owners, product managers, and functional leaders to prioritize delivery activities and manage expectations.
Team Enablement & Coaching
- In partnership with the Director of Enterprise Portfolio Management and Delivery, provide hands-on coaching to project and program managers to drive consistency in execution practices.
- Reinforce the use of standardized delivery frameworks, methodologies, and playbooks.
- Promote a delivery culture grounded in accountability, continuous improvement, and results orientation.
Process Improvement & Delivery Maturity
- Contribute to the development and refinement of FPI s delivery frameworks, operating models, and execution standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance delivery quality, speed, and scalability.
- Other tasks as assigned.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor s degree required; PMP or PgMP preferred.
- 7+ years in project/portfolio management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong leadership in enterprise program and project delivery, with a focus on execution excellence.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and experience engaging directly with customers and senior stakeholders.
- Skilled in escalation management, delivery health monitoring, and cross-team coordination.
- Expertise in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Proven ability to influence without authority, align stakeholders, and coach delivery teams.
- Comfortable with delivery metrics, dashboards, and tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, Power BI).
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results in a dynamic, customer-facing environments
- Familiarity with enterprise-scale delivery transformation efforts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ability to report to work in person and to attend work-related functions/activities.
- Ability to work at a desk and use a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 10 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to occasionally travel as required.
- Ability to type and utilize various software programs efficiently and operate general office equipment.
- Ability to work in an office setting with moderate noise levels.
- Additional physical demands include, but may not be limited to, frequent talking or hearing, occasional push/pull, stoop/kneel, bend/twist, and reach to retrieve or move items in a typical office environment.
- Must be able to work scheduled hours and overtime as needed.
- Hybrid or remote work arrangements
- This role has been designated as a Hybrid role, which gives employees the opportunity to work from home on Mondays and Fridays and working in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
- Exceptions to the designated work arrangement may be made based on business needs.
