Position: Linux Embedded Systems Developer
Location: Dallas, TX - Hybrid
Duration: 12+months with possible extensions
We are seeking a Linux Embedded Systems Developer with strong expertise in Linux kernel and device drivers to join an exciting project with the Client team. The role involves porting prplOS to various Broadband Home Routers (BHRs) and debugging platform-specific issues. While prplOS experience is not required, strong Linux development skills are crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Port prplOS to different hardware architectures and debug integration issues.
- Develop and optimize Linux networking stacks (e.g., mac80211, hostapd).
- Work on Linux kernel internals, device drivers, and low-level protocol layers.
- Collaborate on embedded system designs to ensure stability and scalability.
Required Skills:
- Linux Kernel Expertise: Advanced understanding of Linux internals, device drivers, and networking.
- Embedded Linux Experience: Proven experience porting and debugging for hardware platforms.
- Familiarity with networking stacks (mac80211, hostapd) and packet filters (e.g., eBPF) is preferred but not mandatory.
