Job Title: QA Automation Engineer
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid 2 days onsite: Mon & Tues, 3 days remote)
Interview: Microsoft Teams / In-person
Job Description:
  • Analyze and document business systems and user needs.
  • Formulate systems to align with organizational goals and strategies.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, design, and testing phases.
  • Conduct or support unit, system, and user acceptance testing.
  • Plan and organize multiple work assignments without compromising accuracy.
  • Facilitate business process mapping and reengineering activities.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provide analytical and documentation support throughout the SDLC.

Years Required/Preferred Experience
8 Required Experience/knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of software development and the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including knowledge of industry accepted software engineering practices and life cycle methods (Agile).
8 Required Knowledge of the limitations and capabilities of computer systems, information technology equipment, applicable programming languages, computer hardware and software, and computer operating systems.
8 Required Experience in analyzing requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria, and write test plans and test scenarios to validate that the requirements are met within the application and/or business processes.
8 Required Skill analyzing software applications, defects, and business problems to draw evidence-based conclusions and devise innovative solutions
3 Preferred Skill using HP Unified Functional Testing (UFT), Katalon, HP LoadRunner, SoapUI, LoadUI, Selenium HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), HP Product Portfolio Management (PPM), SQL, XML, and running and creating interface files and running batch
3 Preferred Experience working together with varied levels of development, testing staff, and end-users using Agile principles and methodologies
3 Preferred Hands on software quality assurance (manual and/or automated testing) experience using one or more of HP Unified Functional Testing (UFT), SoapUI, Selenium, HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), HP Product Portfolio Management (PPM), JIRA, JAMA, PLSQ
