Job Details
Role: Linux Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Day1 Onsite) F2F Required
Skills- We are looking for Core RHEL and Ubuntu. Candidate should have strong experience in below highlighted skills.
Responsibilities:
- Linux support (Ubuntu/RHEL related products IDM/Satellite/Centrify) product centric knowledge and experience.
- Hardware install/break/fix/troubleshoot Dell/ Cisco UCS/ HPE hardware install and maintain lifecycle.
- SAN/NAS (Pure/Isilon/Netapp).
- Maintain customer-facing, mission-critical 24/7 production services.
- Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot operating systems, networks, and applications.
- Perform regularly scheduled maintenance and upgrades, including instance patching and replacement.
- Provide infrastructure-level support for Production, Development, and QA environments.
- Drive best practices for operational policies and procedures, including communication, change, and incident management.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Writing deployment scripts, debugging application issues, and evaluating new technologies.
- Delivering 12x7 operations through a customer-focused approach, including responding to production alerts.
- Implementing system-level and application performance monitoring metrics using various monitoring tools like Elastic Search, Logic Monitor, etc.
Skill/Job Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience with Linux (Ubuntu and RHEL, all other Linux flavors or Windows).
- Good grasp of fundamental security concepts with hands-on experience in implementing security controls and compliance requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work well in a dynamic, collaborative team environment
- Working knowledge of risk management and standards.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related degree, required
