Description:
Job Title: Linux/Infrastructure Engineer

Type: Contract to Hire

Location: Columbus, OH (3 days Onsite, 2 days remote)

Only W2 Contract

Duties and Responsibilities:

Analyze, design, and develop systems based on user specifications.
  • Provide technical assistance for hardware/software issues and troubleshoot system-related problems.
  1. Utilize in-depth knowledge of technical tools for systems development and support.
  1. Maintain working knowledge of various applications (e.g., mainframe, SAS), their processing, and programming languages.
  1. Assist in identifying training needs and training and/or mentoring less experienced staff.
  1. Serve as a technical project leader for specific projects and BAU activities.
  1. Maintain CMBD entries for applications.
  1. Manage the team on-call schedule and updates in ServiceNow.
  1. Attend mandatory daily/weekly meetings for system outages and incident management.
  1. Possess knowledge of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning.
  1. Understand Privileged Access Management, user access, and entitlements.
  1. Perform other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or 10+ years of related experience (an additional 4 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree).
  • Experience with Linux, AIX servers, Red Hat, and Oracle databases.

Ability to work independently and multitask in a collaborative environment.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement for both individual and team processes/procedures.
  1. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a focus on customer service.
  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  1. Experience working in a multi-platform environment.
  1. Ability to balance development and lead technical roles.
  1. Experience in projects involving business segments.
  1. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  1. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and the ability to work well with IT, vendor, and business groups.
