An OpenText Capture Configuration Developer designs, configures, and maintains solutions that automate the capture, extraction, and classification of data from documents. They work with OpenText's Intelligent Capture (formerly Captiva) and Core Capture platforms to streamline business processes by converting paper and electronic documents into usable information.

Responsibilities
Solution development: Design, develop, and implement document capture and imaging solutions using OpenText Intelligent Capture or Core Capture.
Workflow configuration: Configure and manage CaptureFlows to map business rules and automate document workflows, including document classification and data validation.
System integration: Integrate capture solutions with enterprise content management (ECM) repositories and other enterprise applications, often using REST APIs.
Data extraction: Configure rules for automated data extraction from documents using optical character recognition (OCR), machine learning (ML), and AI technologies.
System maintenance and support: Provide technical support and perform ongoing maintenance, including installing, upgrading, and patching capture software.
Testing and optimization: Test capture workflows to ensure accuracy and optimize configurations for maximum performance and efficiency.
Troubleshooting: Resolve complex technical issues related to capture processes, system performance, and integration.
Collaboration: Work with business analysts and cross-functional IT teams to gather requirements and ensure implemented solutions meet business needs.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation related to system configurations, customizations, and support procedures.
Required skills and experience
Experience with OpenText Capture: Strong, hands-on experience with OpenText Intelligent Capture (formerly Captiva) or Core Capture platforms.
Programming and scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as VBScript or C#, and familiarity with .NET development for customizing capture applications.
Capture and ECM knowledge: A deep understanding of document capture concepts, such as scanning, classification, data extraction, and indexing.
API experience: Experience integrating systems using REST APIs.
Technical expertise: Knowledge of OCR (preferably Textract), machine learning, and AI concepts as they relate to document processing.
Problem-solving: Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders
