Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Network Administrator to join our team in the education sector, based in San Marcos, Texas. The role primarily involves supporting our multi-campus wired and wireless networks, dealing with a variety of network technologies and working collaboratively within a small team to maintain a highly reliable and available network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
Manage and resolve end-user network problems and work on trouble tickets.
Install and configure campus network switches, routers, wireless access points, and related equipment.
Allocate and assign campus-wide network IP address space.
Perform backup and recovery of campus network infrastructure configuration data.
Conduct regular administration tasks to support campus network infrastructure in a 24/7 operations environment.
Install software and firmware updates and security patches.
Create written documentation for network designs, processes, procedures, configurations, and network diagrams.
Automate network tasks using network management and automation tools and scripting.
Submit support tickets with hardware and software vendors to resolve campus network-related issues and work with vendors until problems are resolved.

Requirements

Proficiency in managing Cisco Routers and other Cisco Technologies

Experience with EO/IR systems

Knowledge of Firewall Technologies and Backup Technologies

Proficiency in Microsoft applications and Active Directory

Ability to handle Computer Hardware and Configuration Management

Strong skills in Design and Juniper technologies

Experience in an educational environment is desirable

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot network issues

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
