About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to support complex, large-scale software engineering initiatives with a focus on AI/ML, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will consult on strategic projects, analyze multifaceted technical challenges, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions.
Responsibilities

• Lead and consult on large-scale software engineering initiatives with broad technical and business impact.
• Analyze and resolve complex engineering challenges involving novel or unprecedented factors.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions using modern frameworks and cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with compliance, policy, and delivery requirements.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams to drive technical excellence and innovation.
• Optimize performance and reliability of distributed systems and applications.

Technical Expertise

• Generative AI: LLMs, vector databases, embedding models, vector search, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• AI/ML: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP (spaCy, NLTK), Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, Spark ML
• MLOps: Model development, testing, deployment using AWS SageMaker, Ray
• Big Data & Distributed Systems: Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, HBase, Cassandra
• Data Science: Python ecosystem (Pandas, Scikit-learn, etc.)
• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), Microsoft Azure
• Programming Languages: Python, Java, Scala, R, Shell scripting
• Datastores: Vector stores (MongoDB Atlas, Milvus), NoSQL (HBase, Cassandra, Redis), SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• DevOps & Tooling: Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, Git, Linux
• Microsoft Ecosystem: Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Dynamics 365

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering or equivalent experience through a combination of work, consulting, military service, or education.
• Proven experience building and optimizing scalable distributed systems.
• Strong background in performance tuning of applications and databases.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
