Description

SAIC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support multiple projects in the Patuxent River area.

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for providing overall technical support, as well as ensuring that the engineering team meets the needs of the programs and projects they support.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES: (include, but are not limited to)

  • Develop, review, and manage engineering documentation, including requirements specifications, test plans, and design reviews.
  • Identify and resolve design flaws or discrepancies identified during analysis and testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and mechanical engineers, program managers, and other stakeholders, to ensure system designs are integrated and cohesive.
  • Develop technical specifications and select appropriate components and equipment based on performance analysis and project requirements.
  • Creating detailed design documentation, including schematics, circuit diagrams, and component selection.
  • Perform system analysis, trade studies, and risk assessments to support decision-making and program planning.
  • Lead the development and implementation of system integration and testing strategies, ensuring robust and reliable system performance.
  • Prepare and present technical briefings and reports to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership and government clients.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support program reviews, audits, and other activities as required to ensure program success.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, or related technical field with 2+ years of experience or 6+ years of experience in lieu of BS.
  • Ability to multi-task, and work independently with minimal supervision, in a fast-paced result-oriented environment taking ownership of tasks and driving them to completion.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate technical risks.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Signal processing: Knowledge of analog signal processing techniques like filtering, amplification, and signal conditioning.
  • Power management: Experience with designing power converters, voltage regulators, and power integrity considerations.
  • Experience with military or government communication systems is highly desired.
  • Proven experience in researching, designing, developing, and testing electrical components.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as required for program needs.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
