Job Details

A SAP EAM Plant Maintenance Lead is responsible for leading the implementation, support, and optimization of the SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) module within an organization's Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) strategy. This role involves overseeing a team, managing projects, and ensuring the effective use of SAP PM to manage maintenance activities, improve asset utilization, and reduce costs. Key responsibilities include leading the migration to S/4HANA, configuring PM components, integrating with other SAP modules and third-party systems, and providing training and support to users.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of SAP PM consultants and/or business analysts.
  • Manage team deliverables and project timelines.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.

Project Management:

  • Lead SAP PM module implementation and enhancement projects.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to go-live and post-implementation support.
  • Develop functional specifications and estimations for projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

SAP PM Expertise:

  • Deep understanding of SAP PM functionality, including master data, notifications, work orders, equipment master, functional locations, preventive maintenance plans, etc.
  • Experience with SAP PM integration with other SAP modules (MM, PP, QM, FI/CO) and third-party systems.
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA PM and its features.
  • Experience with data migration, testing (unit, integration, UAT), and go-live support.

Business Process Optimization:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize business processes and improve asset management practices.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for users on SAP PM functionality.

Troubleshooting and Support:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve post-migration issues related to SAP PM.
  • Provide expert-level support to users on SAP PM functionality.

Industry Experience:

  • Experience in relevant industries (e.g., utilities, manufacturing) is often preferred.
  • Knowledge of specific industry-related maintenance practices and regulations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in SAP Plant Maintenance, with experience in end-to-end implementations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management frameworks.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
