Director of Information Systems (Healthcare)
We have an immediate need for a Director of Information Systems (Healthcare) to join our client for a full-time, permanent position that will be hybrid in Los Angeles. This position will provide leadership and oversight to build and maintain a robust and secure IT infrastructure.
Location: Hybrid in Los Angeles (2 days remote)
This job expects to pay about $130,000-170,000 plus benefits
What You ll Do:
- Manages daily Information System operations including helpdesk, Epic EHR, and data reporting to ensure timely, high-quality service delivery.
- Supervises Information System, EHR, and analytics staff, overseeing hiring, performance management, and staff development.
- Maintains and optimizes infrastructure, including Microsoft systems, ensuring uptime, performance, and security.
- Oversees cloud technology initiatives via Microsoft Azure, focusing on scalability and security.
- Leads cybersecurity strategy including threat detection, incident response, and disaster recovery.
- Tests and maintains business continuity plans and secures critical cloud-based systems.
- Develops and enforces data security and HIPAA-compliant policies, including audits and protocols.
- Leads data analytics and reporting through Power BI to support clinical, operational, and financial insights.
- Implements data governance practices to ensure healthcare compliance and reporting accuracy.
- Manages vendor contracts and procurement for cost-effective IS resource allocation.
- Reports project status, metrics, and insights to senior leadership for strategic decisions.
- Develops and maintains technical documentation and user support materials.
- Supports after-hours maintenance, on-call rotation, and multi-site coverage as needed.
- Works flexible hours including evenings and weekends to ensure continuous organizational support.
What Gets You the Job:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field required. Master's degree in computer science or related field is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in IT systems management, with at least 5 years of leadership experience managing teams and large-scale IT projects required.
- Project management experience required.
- Proven experience with Microsoft technologies (Azure, Power BI, MS-SQL) and cloud-based systems.
- Experience managing and supporting Epic EHR systems, including integration with other enterprise applications.
- Solid understanding of Cisco & Ubiquiti network architecture, infrastructure management, and security best practices.
- Hands-on experience with data analytics and business intelligence reporting, particularly with Power BI.
- Certifications in Microsoft technologies (e.g., Azure, Power BI), Epic EHR, and cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are highly desirable.
