Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an ERP Manager located in Cleveland, OH. The ERP Manager will be responsible for managing the companywide use of the ERP system (NAV), including EDI, to optimize the value the system contributes to the business by simplifying processes, reducing costs, providing management information, and improving planning and decision-making.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Optimize Business Processes

  • Consult with process owners to understand issues and business requirements.
  • Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop future-state processes that leverage continuous improvement principles and system capabilities.
  • Train users and implement future state processes.
  • Maximize the ERP system s capabilities and functionality to enable the business.


Manage Projects

  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for ERP initiatives.
  • Manage project teams, assigning tasks and tracking progress to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure projects stay within scope and budget, adjusting plans as necessary.


Manage ERP (NAV) Environment

  • Develop and execute a migration plan for the current release of the ERP system, and then maintain it as updates become available.
  • Liaise with the ERP vendor to ensure proper support.
  • Manage system performance, regular maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Ensure data integrity and security within the system.


Manage & Execute Trading Partner-Driven EDI Work

  • Receive and process all trading partner requests, making any changes to the ERP system required to support trading partner transactions.
  • Ensure end-to-end transaction communication with all trading partners operates seamlessly.


Deliver Reporting and Analytics

  • Develop and generate reports and analytics to provide insights into business performance.
  • Use ERP data/analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Ensure reporting tools meet the needs of different stakeholders.


Required Qualifications

Process knowledge:

  • Experience and knowledge across the various functions/processes of a manufacturing business (e.g., Sales, Operations, Finance).


ERP & EDI knowledge:

  • Experience and knowledge in maintaining/supporting ERP systems to maximize business value, including delivering reports/analytics to improve decision-making.


Technical knowledge:

  • Knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications, Active Directory, File systems, Windows Server, SQL, etc.


Continuous Improvement:

  • Proven track record of adding value to a business via process improvement and leveraging technology.


Analytical/Problem-Solving skills:

  • Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root-cause issues, and design cost-effective solutions.


Communication skills:

  • Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.


Resourcefulness:

  • Ability to operate as a leader/doer, rolling up sleeves to fully leverage own skills as well as collaboratively leveraging every person in the organization.


Education, Training, and/or Experience

  • Bachelor s Degree in MIS, Business, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum five years of business process improvement and ERP experience (ideally with NAV).
