Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle execution of utility-scale Energy Storage and Infrastructure projects ranging from $200M to $1.5B. In this role, you will serve as the central authority for all project-related functions once the project enters execution, ensuring alignment across Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, Development, ISC, and other support teams.
This position requires strong leadership in construction management, engineering oversight, safety compliance, cost control, scheduling, contractor management, and regulatory engagement. The Project Manager will also act as the primary representative to community stakeholders and regulatory bodies at local, national, and international levels.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Direction
- Lead full lifecycle field execution for large-scale energy storage (BESS) and infrastructure projects.
- Manage cross-functional teams including Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, Supply Chain, Commissioning, and Development.
- Provide direct oversight for staffing, performance, and day-to-day site operations.
- Safety, Compliance & Regulatory Relations
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, corporate policies, and industry regulations.
- Serve as primary liaison with permitting authorities, inspectors, and regulatory agencies for all compliance approvals.
Project Execution & EPC Management
- Oversee execution of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), including:
- Power electronics
- Battery storage system design
- Substation and grid integration
- Manage commissioning, start-up, testing, and operational readiness.
- Drive project management functions such as:
- Contract administration
- Cost and budget control
- Scheduling and forecasting
- Quality assurance and field issue resolution
- Collaborate with suppliers, engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to resolve technical and construction challenges.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the project s primary representative with community groups, government agencies, and internal/external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with corporate communications to maintain positive community and public relations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
- 11 15 years of experience managing large-scale energy storage, power generation, renewable energy, or infrastructure EPC projects.
- Strong understanding of:
- Battery storage systems (BESS)
- Power electronics
- Substation / grid integration
Proven experience integrating engineering design, construction execution, and financial controls.
Expertise in safety management, permitting, contract administration, and project controls.
Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced, high-budget environments.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
PMP Certification.
Experience managing $1B+ EPC or utility-scale energy infrastructure projects.
Background in renewable energy, large utility construction, or grid modernization programs.
