Job Desc

Java Full Stack Developers (Angular / JEE) to support the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-level applications. The ideal candidates will possess deep technical expertise in front-end and back-end development, with a strong background in Angular, TypeScript, Java, JEE, and RESTful Web Services.

These developers will be responsible for building modern, responsive, and secure web applications, converting legacy SOAP services to RESTful APIs, and ensuring best practices in performance, scalability, and maintainability across HHSC IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise-level applications using Java/JEE and Angular frameworks.

  • Design and implement Single Page Applications (SPAs) using Angular and TypeScript.

  • Develop, convert, and integrate SOAP and RESTful web services; ensure secure implementations using JWT, OAuth, and related technologies.

  • Create responsive, user-friendly interfaces leveraging HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, SASS, and JavaScript frameworks.

  • Participate in requirements analysis, design sessions, coding, testing, and deployment of new application components.

  • Perform system analysis, debugging, and performance tuning to optimize applications.

  • Collaborate with other development teams to integrate and align on project goals.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation and design specifications.

  • Support application testing, troubleshooting, and production operations as needed.

  • Implement best practices for coding standards, scalability, and maintainability.

  • Participate in Agile (Scrum) ceremonies, sprint planning, and peer code reviews.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java/JEE application development.

  • 8+ years of experience in front-end/UI development using Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, AJAX, and jQuery.

  • Proven experience implementing SPAs using the Angular framework (minimum 4 years).

  • Strong experience in developing RESTful Web Services, including security standards (JWT, OAuth, etc.).

  • Hands-on experience with JEE application servers (JBoss, WebSphere, or similar).

  • Proficiency with Spring Framework, Struts, JSP, Maven, JSON, and XML.

  • Experience with responsive design principles and front-end integration with web services.

  • Strong knowledge of application performance optimization and best coding practices.

  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
