Application Solutions Architect

**This is a hybrid position located in Calgary, Alberta. 3 days per week in office required**
Description
One of TEKsystems' higher education clients is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of critical enterprise solutions. This role will be instrumental in shaping our client's technology landscape, focusing on the successful integration and optimization of a CRM system, the development of a robust Reporting system, and the establishment of a standardized data integration framework across institutional systems. The Solutions Architect will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and architectural principles.
Services include, but not necessarily be limited to:
Architectural Leadership:

• Define and evolve the architectural vision, strategy, and roadmap for the SLATE CRM implementation, Faculty Reporting system, and the enterprise data integration framework.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing technical solutions.
• Ensure architectural designs adhere to best practices, industry standards, and regulatory compliance.

CRM Implementation:

• Lead the architectural design for the SLATE CRM system, encompassing domestic admissions, recruitment, and student case management modules.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications and architectural blueprints.
• Oversee the technical configuration, customization, and integration strategies for SLATE CRM.

Faculty Reporting System:

• Design the architecture for a new Faculty Reporting system, ensuring it meets the analytical and reporting needs of academic departments.
• Define data models, data flows, and integration points for extracting, transforming, and loading data into the reporting solution.

Standardized Data Integration Framework:

• Contribute to the ongoing evolution and optimization of the comprehensive, standardized data integration framework, ensuring seamless data exchange between disparate systems.
• Leverage and enhance existing integration technologies, tools, and methodologies (e.g., APIs, ETL, message queues), and recommend strategic improvements.
• Reinforce and ensure adherence to established data governance policies, data quality standards, and security protocols for data integration.
• Utilize and further develop reusable integration patterns and components to accelerate future integration efforts and maintain architectural consistency.

Technical Guidance & Mentorship:

• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to development internal architectural teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
• Conduct architectural reviews and provide constructive feedback on designs and implementations.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work closely with project managers, business analysts, developers, and other IT teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Facilitate decision-making processes regarding architectural choices and technical trade-offs.

The pay range for this position is $100.00 - $120.00/hr.
