6-month CTH- W2. No sponsorship

100% remote

Must Have Skills:

Proficiency in using C#, SQL Query and VB6 (still part of their legacy environment) in addition to critical thinking skills.

Nice to have / bonus skills:

- DevOps experience
- Health Insurance Payer experience.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, analyzes and addresses program, functional and technical problems, and develops computer programs to meet defined program specifications. Responsible for the design and develop solutions to complete systems. Perform systems management and integration functions.

Coordinate data transfers from and to outside systems. Ability to be a technical lead for a programming team. Assist in mentoring other Programmers.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: (Education, Experience, Skills)

1. Bachelor's degree in computer programming, computer science or related field.
2. At least four years of programming experience.
3. Extensive knowledge in C#, SQL Query and VB6.
4. Professional manner and accountable for work performed.
5. Strong independent work ethic.
6. Efficient and accurate coder.
7. Excellent database management skills.
8. Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
9. Able to make decisions, solve problems, analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution.

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED: (Education, Experience, Skills)

1. Health Insurance Payer experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Writes, updates and maintains computer program or software packages to handle specific jobs.
2. Write or contribute instructions or manuals to guide end users.
3. Design new programs and applications that will enhance our business.
4. Reviews and interprets program specifications and/or design specifications.
5. Develops program specifications as necessary.
6. Codes programs, develops job control language and lists in compliance with departmental standards.
7. Independently develops test data and tests and debugs individual programs to ensure quality and proper functioning.
8. Assists in development of test plans and execution of system and integration tests as directed.
9. Analyzes program, functional and/or technical problems and analyzes minor application modifications.
10. Develops and implements solutions under the guidance of the supervisor.
11. Learns and effectively utilizes appropriate techniques and software tools for completion of job functions.
12. Consistently completes assignments in a timely manner within the target dates assigned and within established quality parameters. Informs supervisor of status, problems, etc.
13. Coordinates with various departments to determine project requirements.
