Overview:
Client is seeking an experienced PKI Engineer to support our Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) initiatives, with a primary focus on FedRAMP compliance. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in PKI systems, cloud architecture (AWS), and automation, with hands-on experience in modern infrastructure and DevOps tools. This engineer will collaborate closely with our internal teams to ensure the integrity, availability, and compliance of Cisco’s PKI environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain Cisco’s PKI infrastructure with a strong focus on FedRAMP requirements.
- Manage Certificate Authorities, chains of trust, and the full lifecycle of end-entity certificates.
- Collaborate with cloud architecture and security teams to design and implement secure PKI solutions within AWS.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Build automation workflows and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Develop and maintain tools and services in Go (Golang) to support PKI and automation needs.
- Monitor and troubleshoot PKI-related systems using AWS services such as ACM, PCA, Secrets Manager, IAM, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudWatch, EC2, VPC, and ECS Fargate.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (approximately one week per month).
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of PKI concepts, including certificate authorities, certificate chains, and certificate lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience in AWS Cloud Architecture, particularly with ACM, PCA, Secrets Manager, and related services.
- Proficient in Go (Golang) development.
- Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Proven track record in automation and CI/CD pipeline development (Jenkins preferred).
- Experience supporting FedRAMP environments is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across engineering and compliance teams.
