Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our Decision Engine Team in Columbus, Ohio. This position focuses on developing and optimizing real-time customer engagement strategies by leveraging advanced data engineering techniques. As part of a collaborative team, you will play a critical role in creating and maintaining the infrastructure necessary to deliver personalized, data-driven messages across various customer channels. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and impactful projects.

Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage scalable data pipelines that support real-time decision-making and marketing initiatives.
Collaborate with marketing, analytics, IT, and modeling teams to ensure seamless execution of customer messaging strategies across multiple channels.
Conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and reliability.
Enhance and integrate decision engine platforms, including tools such as Adobe Campaign, Salesforce, and Unica Interact.
Automate workflows and reporting processes using technologies like Python, Tableau, or cloud-based tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in production environments to maintain system efficiency.
Participate in the deployment of new features and upgrades to the decision engine software.
Manage and catalog curated data assets to facilitate enterprise-wide reuse and governance.
Provide guidance on best practices for data testing, quality assurance, and pipeline optimization.

Requirements

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or data quality roles, including the use of machine learning or cloud computing.
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python or R, and familiarity with data tools like Glue, Athena, or Tableau.
Strong understanding of database technologies, including MySQL, and experience with large-scale data pipelines.
Hands-on experience with data testing, quality frameworks, and troubleshooting complex data workflows.
Knowledge of campaign management or decision engine platforms such as Adobe Campaign, Salesforce, or Unica.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and tools for version control and automated builds.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across both technical and non-technical teams.
