Job Description

 

  • Perform a variety of tasks in support of the overall team and especially in relation to asset management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and assist in the data collection, recording and maintenance of global software assets managed in the SAM Tool.
  • Analyze, review and investigate inaccurate and/or missing information related to software assets, contracts, and financial data.
  • Review software requests and other intake activities as assigned.
  • Work with internal customers and suppliers to resolve issues.
  • Confirm proper contract and order data is in the SAM Tool and that the data entry and reporting of assigned products/services are reflected correctly.
  • Review new vendors and their products as they go through the product request process to see if currently utilized products might fit those needs to minimize applications with functional redundancies.
  • Notate any product-related issues and concerns from stakeholders so Contract Managers can provide feedback to Vendors to improve issues.
  • Research purchase history, contracts, and approval information to update SAM Tool data.
  • Maintain and update specific data points in the SAM Tool.
  • Connect API integrations into the SAM Tool.
  • Assist in completing software license audits.
  • Help guide end users through the SAM Tool as well as provide data/reports from the tool to end users as requested.

 

Skills:

  • Organized, analytical, and methodical.
  • Excels at documenting and communicating updates to management, team, and end users.
  • Has a strong understanding of how to maintain a database(Asset database preferred).
  • Seasoned in working with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Has strong excel skills; ability to create vLookups and Pivot tables(BI tool knowledge preferred).
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment or independently.
  • Ability to work on projects and conduct research with little to no supervision.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask.
  • Strong customer service skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize and pivot as needed.
  • Ability to perform license audits and understand basic contract language.

 

Education:

  • Four-year degree in related fields of study, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-2 years of software asset management experience specifically with SaaS applications.
