Job Description

This is a temporary position.

Supports the Resiliency & Recoverability Disaster Recovery (DR) Program by analyzing and mapping critical business transactions to underlying technologies, assessing resiliency posture, and identifying gaps in recovery capabilities. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure preparedness for real disaster scenarios and recovery testing. Provides data-driven insights and reporting to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement in DR planning and execution.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required:

5+ years of experience in business analysis, IT operations, or disaster recovery

Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience/certifications

Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)

Strong analytical and documentation skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and tools such as JIRA, Confluence

Preferred:

Experience with disaster recovery planning and testing

Familiarity with ITIL v4, PMP, or Agile certifications

Experience with infrastructure technologies (e.g., servers, networks, middleware)

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Business Analysis and Process Mapping

Identify and decompose critical business transactions into underlying technology components

Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to validate transaction flows and dependencies

Create and maintain end-to-end ecosystem diagrams and documentation

Resiliency Assessment and Gap Analysis

Review and assess RTO/RPO and recovery posture for applications and infrastructure

Conduct interviews and workshops with SMEs to validate recovery capabilities

Identify gaps, risks, and single points of failure in DR posture

Document findings and provide structured reports and recommendations

Project and Stakeholder Support

Support DR initiatives as a senior analyst and project contributor

Track project milestones, risks, and issues related to DR assessments

Liaise with vendors and internal teams to gather data and resolve blockers

Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and reports

Reporting and Metrics

Develop and maintain DR metrics and dashboards

Provide bi-weekly progress updates and executive summaries

Support audit and compliance reporting related to DR readiness

The pay range for this position is $40.81 to $69.62 per hour.

Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.0334 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 9 holidays annually.
