Job Details

At TEKsystems we are working with a local organization who is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Healthcare Business & Data Analyst to support their team during a critical transition period. This 6-month contract role will help bridge the gap while a key team member is on medical leave. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of business acumen and data analysis expertise, with a focus on healthcare operations and Medicare/Medicaid claims. You will play a pivotal role in analyzing healthcare data, generating actionable insights, and supporting strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze healthcare and Medicare claims data to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Excel and other visualization tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, define, and document business requirements.
  • Conduct data validation and ensure accuracy and integrity of datasets.
  • Provide recommendations to enhance business processes and improve patient outcomes.
  • Support the design and implementation of data-driven strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and data governance standards.
  • Use SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst in the healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of Medicare claims processing (Medicaid experience is a plus).
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.
  • Experience building dashboards and visual reports (Power BI, Tableau, or preferred similar tools).
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and data manipulation.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information
  • This is a temporary contract role through the end of the year.
  • The position is designed to provide coverage while a team member is on medical leave.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to work Hawai'i hours of business

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00/hr.
