Overview:

Our telecom client is looking to hire two skilled and driven Engineers to join their Public Cloud team, with a focus on Microsoft Azure infrastructure. In a perfect world, one of these openings will be tailored toward an Azure Network Automation/DevOps Engineer with strong infrastructure-as-code experience.

**Soft skills are very important for this team. They have a strong team in place with a great culture and want these engineers to enter seamlessly. Very collaborative environment, some customer facing elements.

**The networking team did a migration a few days ago and they realized they have no automation in place on their networking team. The Azure engineer that has a strong networking background will split time between the Azure Cloud team and the networking team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure in Microsoft Azure using Terraform or OpenTofu
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.)
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.)
  • Implement and manage source control workflows including branching strategies and pull request processes (Git preferred)

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3 10 years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on Azure
  • Proven hands-on experience deploying and managing Azure infrastructure (IaaS and PaaS)
  • Infrastructure-as-Code expertise with Terraform or OpenTofu
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD tools and pipeline configuration (Have migration plans in place to migrate from BitBucket to GitHub)
  • Version control experience using Git (PR workflows, branching strategies)
  • Scripting and automation experience (language agnostic)

Nice to Have:

  • Azure networking experience (vNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, etc.)- Only needed for 1 of the positions
  • Familiarity with Azure security best practices (RBAC, managed identities, Key Vault, etc.)
  • Experience with Ansible for configuration management
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, etc.)
