Title: Director of Sales
Position Reports To: Head of Business Development
Position Summary: A full time remote position for an energetic professional, with a strong network in biotech and pharmaceutical companies, to aggressively build our customer base in the US and abroad.
Responsibilities: The Director of Sales will introduce and promote InstantGMP software products to biotech, pharma and dietary supplement companies and to potential marketing partners and as a result, will develop a strong pipeline of prospects and customers. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Find leads from prospect lists and close new sales.
- Do cold calling to generate leads.
- Build relationships with customers over time and provide personalized solutions tailored to their specific needs.
- Travel to meet with prospects, demonstrate products, deliver presentations, negotiate deals, and close sales in person.
- Monitor the customer renewal invoices and take responsibility for ensuring customers make their payments and the payments are accurately recorded.
- Leverage existing contacts to introduce our services and capabilities.
- Cultivate relationships with biotech and pharmaceutical associations.
- Aggressively grow a pipeline of business and qualified opportunities.
- Deliver on revenue goals set by the management team.
- Keep the Contact Manager up to date daily.
- Provide weekly reports that track activity and progress.
Performance Evaluations
- A Sales Commission plan with Sales Target will be issued at the beginning of each year.
- Objectives and achievements will be documented quarterly.
- An official performance evaluation will be conducted at 6 months and 12 months after employment; this is a probationary period. If performance is not satisfactory, employment may be terminated at that time.
Qualifications:
- in a life sciences discipline or equivalent experience
- At least 10 years experience in software sales for scientific solutions
- Strong existing life sciences community network
- Experience in lead generation and preparation and negotiation of proposals
- A previous proven track record of sales success
- Highly involved with social media and skilled in modern techniques of developing new markets
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, customer oriented sales environment
- A good working knowledge of the pharmaceutical manufacturing process
- Excellent verbal/written communication, strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Highly disciplined, independent, entrepreneurial self-starter who is able to work autonomously from a home based office while remaining well connected with the company s headquarters in North Carolina
