Description
We are looking for a highly analytical Fraud Investigator to join our Trust and Safety team in Oakland, California. In this contract position, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding operations by identifying and addressing fraudulent activities. This role requires a proactive approach to analyzing patterns, investigating anomalies, and mitigating risks.
Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth investigations into reported fraud cases, ensuring thorough analysis and resolution.
Examine transaction trends and user activity to uncover unusual or suspicious behavior.
Develop comprehensive reports detailing findings, evidence, and recommendations for fraud prevention.
Present investigative results and actionable insights to management in a clear and precise manner.
Utilize industry knowledge to monitor emerging fraud schemes and adapt strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with team members to implement fraud mitigation techniques and improve operational safeguards.
Leverage data analysis tools to identify patterns and anomalies that pose potential risks.
Ensure quality in investigative processes and maintain high standards in reporting and risk management.
Assist in refining fraud detection workflows and enhancing team efficiency.
Requirements
Proven experience in fraud investigation or a related field, with a strong analytical background.
Proficiency in identifying transaction patterns, anomalies, and suspicious activities.
Ability to prepare detailed, accurate, and well-structured reports on investigative findings.
Familiarity with industry trends and common fraud schemes.
Strong communication skills to effectively present findings to management and stakeholders.
Adept at using data analysis tools to interpret and evaluate fraud risks.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality assurance in investigative processes.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team to enhance fraud prevention strategies.
