AV Drafter

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an AV Drafter in Miami, FL.

Duties:
* AV Drafter will visit locations where an audio-visual system will be integrated and provides 2d and 3d drawing based solutions as deemed necessary
* Supports the Chief Engineer with drawing reviews for new and re-constructed buildings and system installations
* Ensures media equipment and all necessary materials needed to make equipment functional are clearly displayed on preliminary and final drawings
* Participates in planning various projects aimed at improving the performance of the media equipment installed in a university setting
* Develops schematics of campus-wide designs, integrations, and equipment layouts including Distance Learning Classrooms, Electronic Classroom Systems, Video Streaming Encoding Systems, and Video Conferencing Systems
* As an AV Drafter, you will develop documents and implements administrative policies and procedures for the operation and utilization of network connected media equipment
* Performs other related duties as assigned or as directed
* The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties logically related to the position

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree or relevant certification in a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
* Four (4) years of experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
* Knowledge of advanced features in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
* Knowledge of media design and educational technology
* Ability to analyze data
* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
* Ability to handle multiple projects and work with other team members

Departmental Preferences:
* Proficiency in BIM 360, REVIT, AutoCad
* Understanding of state building codes
* Ability to perform 3-dimensional computer assisted modeling

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
